DENSITY - GB/T18102-2007 (6.3.2) and GB/T17657-1999 (4.2) (adapted)
1. TOOLS
1.1 Vernier caliper accurate to 0.1 mm
1.2 Micrometer accurate to 0.01 mm
1.2 Balance accurate to 0.01 gr
2. SAMPLING
3*100x100 mm.

3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Temperature: 20 (+/-2)° C
Humidity: 65 (+/-5)%
4. TESTING PROCEDURE
4.1 Weigh the samples (W0)
4.2 Acclimatize the samples for 24 hrs
4.3 Weigh the sample (W1). If the difference in weight between W0 and W1 does not exceed 0.1%, then proceed with 4.4. Otherwise, acclimatize for successive 24 hours until the difference in weight in the last two readings does not exceed 0.1%
4.4 Weigh the samples (WN)

4.5 Calculate the samples’ volume V0 = length*width*thickness

4.6 The samples length and width shall be measured half way between corners

4.7 The samples thickness shall be calculated per the drawing below

4.8 Record samples density (WN/V0)*1000
5. ASSESSING TEST RESULTS
Passing requirement is WN/V0 (average of 3 pcs) ≥ 0.85 g/cm3
