THICKNESS EXPANSION - GB/T18102-2007 (6.3.4) (adapted)
1. TOOLS
1.1 Constant temperature water tank
1.2 Micrometer
2. SAMPLING
2*150x50 mm

3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Water temperature: 20 (+/-1)℃
4. TESTING PROCEDURE
4.1 Measure each sample’s thickness at 6 points (see below)
4.2 Immerse the samples into the water tank for 24 hours+/-15 minutes

4.3 Take the samples out of the water tank and dry them with a cloth

4.4 Within maximum 30 minutes of drying, measure the thickness at the same original 6 points

4.5 Calculate average thickness swelling: D=((h2-h1)/h1)*100
D – Average thickness coefficient
H1 – 6 point average thickness prior to inmersion
H2 – 6 point average thickness after inmersion
5. ASSESSING TEST RESULTS
Passing requirement: average thickness swelling ≤ 18%
