COEFFICIENT OF DIMENSIONAL CHANGE AFTER HEAT - GB/T4085-2005

1. TOOLS
1.1 Drying equipment, ensuring free internal circulation of air and accurate to +/-2 ℃
1.2 Vernier caliper accurate to 0.02 mm

2. SAMPLING
3*250x250 mm

3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Condition the samples for 24 hours at 23(+/-2) ℃ and 50(+/-10)% relative humidity

4. TESTING PROCEDURE
4.1 Draw 4 lines on the samples' surface:

  • 2 lines parallel to the short ends (distance from the short ends = 25 mm)
  • 2 lines parallel to the long ends (distance from the long ends = 25 mm)

4.2 Measure the 4 sides of the square thus drawn on each of the 3 samples, accurate to 0.02 mm (L0)

4.3 Place each sample on a flat glass and then place the flat glasses in the drying equipment at 80(+/-2) ℃

4.4 Distance between flat glass and wall of equipment min 50 mm; distance between flat glasses min 100 mm
4.5 Take out the flat glasses (and the samples on them) after 6 hours; condition them for 24 hours; then measure the same 4 sides referred to in point 4.2, accurate to 0.02 mm (L)

4.6 Record the results EH = | L-L0 | / L0 × 100

5. ASSESSING TEST RESULTS

Passing requirement: EH≤0.25 %
