COLOUR MATCHING TEST
1. TOOLS
1.1 Light free bags
1.2 Colour matching room (with constant lighting conditions and a 1 m high testing table)
2. SAMPLING
4 floor boards randomly selected from the lot
3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
The colour matching test shall be performed under constant environmental conditions
The colour matching room shall be light sealed
All “natural light” bulbs in the colour matching room shall be lit and functioning properly
4. TESTING PROCEDURE
4.1 Switch on the light in the colour matching room
4.2 Close the door in the colour matching room
4.3 Install the 4 floor boards onto the colour matching room table
4.4 Take the original colour sample outside of the light free bag

4.5 Place the original colour sample onto the 4 floor boards
4.6 Check colour homogeneity

5. ASSESSING TEST RESULTS
Passing requirement: only minor colour differences due to wood natural shades. (wood flooring) Passing requirement: very minor colour difference. (laminate flooring)
