DIMENSIONAL CHANGE COEFFICIENT AFTER EXPOSURE TO HEAT - GB/T 24508-2009

1. TOOLS
1.1 Equipment for drying, ensuring free internal circulation of air
1.2 Thermometer accurate to 1℃
1.3 Vernier caliper accurate to 0.01 mm

2. SAMPLING
3*250x width of product mm

3. TESTING PROCEDURE
3.1 On the sample's face and back, draw two lines parallel to the short ends. The distance between each one of these 4 lines (2 drawn in the face and 2 drawn on the back of the sample) and the adjacent short ends should be 25 mm. Mark the centre of each of these 4 lines and draw a straight line between both centers on each side. The result should be 2 parallel and 1 perpendicular lines drawn on each of the sample face and back


3.2 Measure the length of the perpendicular line on both the sample face and back (C0)

3.3 Place the sample in a standing position on a glass pane and then place the glass pane within the drying equipment. Uncoated flooring should be exposed to 62(+/-1)℃ for 24(+/-0.5). Coated flooring and faced flooring should be exposed to 52(+/-1) ℃ for 24(+/-0.5)

3.4 Take the samples with the glass pane out of the drying equipment, cool the samples to room temperature and measure the length of the perpendicular lines (face and back) (C1) accurate to 0.01 mm


3.5 Calculate C=[(C1- C0)/ C0]×100%

4. ASSESSING TEST RESULTS
Passing requirement:
Uncoated flooring: face and back: +/-1.0%; the difference in results between face and back should be: ≤0.5%
Coated and faced flooring: face and back: +/-0.8%; the difference in results between face and back should be: ≤0.4%
